Although we may have some disagreements and difference of opinions on how the vote went for president last night, we have a lot to be grateful for. We are a progressive district where we realize the need for collaboration, without giving up our rights or sacrificing the student’s needs. We will continue to fight for our students’ rights and make sure they have the best education.
We all won when it comes to the propositions. We now have more money for construction of schools, the funding for LCAP will continue for years to come, and bilingual education is now easier for our families to attain. We also have a great friend on the Perris City Council and two amazing people will be installed into our school board come December.
Val Verde Teachers’ Association would like to congratulate our new Mayor, Mr. Michael Vargas. We are grateful for his years of service to our District and Association.
We would also like to welcome and congratulate our new and returning trustees, Mr. Mathew Serafin and Mrs. Marla Kirkland. We look forward to working with you for the next 4 years to create a better learning environment for students and a better working environment for employees.
Thanks for all that you do,
